I have recently become disabled with arthritis in my knees, back and most other spots. I walk with a walker and probably not far from being wheelchair bound. I am grossly overweight now I have found out that most places of business have sitting chairs with arm rests on them. So disabled people have problems sliding onto a chair with arms, let alone an obese disabled person. Sitting on a walker is not comfortable, and I think not meant to be for a long time. I have often wondered whether business people have ever thought about the seating. My idea would be to get some grant to be able to make a brochure or flyer for the business people to become aware of this matter, otherwise they just wouldn't think of it. |
