My children do jobs at home to earn pocket money, but are slowly approaching that all important she where they can work outside the home in part-time jobs. Currently, they have a few after school activities and homework etc each week. My question is, do you have them give up the interests they have been cultivating for years, so they get the job early, or do you make them wait for the job? We are leaning towards them keeping the interests and keeping up the good grades at school and allowing the job to come later. Are we making these kids grow up too fast? How do you explain to them that it isn't all about rushing out for the job? |
