When I was younger, I was able to make a few dollars during the summer to be able to go spend at the store how I pleased (candy and ice cream, of course) I was hit with a sad realization the other day when my 11 year old son and his friend looked around to make some money. There was little to nothing that people around would pay them to do. They asked people if they could walk their dogs, tried to sell iced tea and were eager to start up lawn mowers (which I would not allow) just to make a couple of dollars. Is it a matter of trust or a matter of money? My son wants to make some money over the summer, but is to young to get a real job. What is your take on this?
